#28, Worldwide Issues

Sometimes, if you have a group of kids that are smart enough to actually have an intelligent conversation, you can get away with "Top 5" lists. The whole class doesn't have to be involved, and quite frankly it's usually better if the whole class is not involved because invariably someone will put in their "2 cents" when in fact they should have paid to be recognized. Not all input is good input.

But that's another story. Today we did a top 5. I had intended it to take about 20 minutes, it took the whole period. As long as good discussion is being had, I'll spend as much time as I have on an item.

Other than that, today, nothing happened.
